Acknowledgements
The ARGUS coastal imaging system is continuing to be developed by Professor Rob Holman and his students and colleagues at the Coastal Imaging Laboratory (Oregon State University, USA), as well as a growing team of ARGUS users around the world. The coastal research community is indebted to the pioneering efforts that Rob and his group have put in over the last decade or so to this relatively new area of coastal research. It is permitting coastal scientists, coastal engineers and coastal managers to observe and quantify data over time and space scales that were previously not available.
WL|Delft Hydraulics are providing WRL with technical expertise to install the ARGUS system, and proprietary software to facilitate image capture, image transfer and image processing.
