Tweed River Entrance Sand By-Passing Project


These digital images of the beaches in the vicinity of the Tweed River Entrance, located at the border of the States of New South Wales and Queensland (airphoto) are updated every hour. They are being collected and analysed to quantify beach conditions , following the construction of a sand bypassing system.

A network of cameras are being used to monitor the beaches extending from North Kirra in Queensland to Letitia Spit in New South Wales. Cameras are mounted at each of four different locations, providing a 180o view at each site. Use the links below to view the most recent images from each of the four camera sites.
