WAMBERAL LAGOON ENTRANCE
ICOLL PROJECT - INTERMITTANT CLOSING AND OPENING LAKES/LAGOONS

Hourly digital images of the entrance to Wamberal Lagoon, located on the central coast of New South Wales, are updated every day.  The images are obtained from a camera installed on the roof of the Wamberal Surf Life Saving Club.  They are being collected and analysed to better understand the physical mechanisms (e.g., rainfall, waves, tides) that result in the intermittant opening and closing of this and other similar coastal estuaries, lakes and lagoons around the world.

All images are saved, and may be viewed (and downloaded) by visiting the image archive.
